It’s time to begin the process of electing PTA officers for next year. A President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer are elected each year. The nomination process has begun. If you are interested in self-nominating for any of the offices, please complete the attached form and send to Don Bailey, [email protected], who serves as the Chairperson of the election committee. All interested candidates must complete the form by April 30, 2018. The PTA membership will be notified who will be running for the offices by May 4, 2018. Elections will be held at the May 14, 2018 PTA general membership meeting. For further information on the election process and officers’ duties, please visit the CES-PTA website.

We had a great turn out for our first silent auction event. Thank you to everyone who attended, it was such a great night of socializing with our CES parents. Thank you to many in our school and community who helped in making sure this event came together, especially our Auction Chair, Mr. Don Bailey. Mr. Bailey worked tirelessly on the silent auction event and it would not have come together in such a great way if not for him. We are truly blessed to have Mr. Bailey on our team!!!
For those of you who bid and won items, this fundraiser will help support the PTA programs for the next school year. Thank you for your support.
Mr. Bailey has two reserved parking space certificates for the Spring Chorus concert and a certificate for two front row seats for 5tth grade promotion. Crofton Elementary’s fourth Ledo Pizza Night is MONDAY, APRIL 9TH.
Join us at Ledo Pizza at Eddie’s Place from 4pm to close. Enjoy a great dinner and benefit our school at the same time. You can eat in or carry out to give our school credit. A portion of all sales go to the CES PTA to help support programs & initiatives.
There will be a TROPHY for the class with the most participation.

Crofton Elementary School (CES) is gearing up to host it’s Spring Scholastic Book Fair! Although this is not a PTA event we would like to help with the need for volunteers.
Volunteers are needed to help set-up (4/11), assist students browsing (4/12 & 4/13), assist students during buying days (4/16-4/20), assist with family night (4/19), and then pack everything up at the conclusion (4/20).
Parent volunteers play a big part in making sure school events are successful and fun for the kids. Thank you in advance… your time and effort are greatly appreciated!

Hello CES families !
We are in need of a few volunteers to help us the day of the Auction ( April 7th ) with transportation of auction items and setup. Baskets need to be transported from Mr. Bailey’s house in Crofton to the Crofton Country Club. We do have several large baskets and items, so volunteers with larger vehicles would be helpful. Once we get the baskets there, we could use some help setting them up.
Pickup time would be 3:45 – 4pm. We could also use your help in setting up the baskets

Why does the PTA conduct fundraising activities?
Our PTA is a non-profit organization with a goal to enhance and support the educational programs and environment at Crofton Elementary School. In order to provide support to our school and children, to make certain programs and events possible, we need to raise money.
Where does the money go?
Over the past two years, Crofton Elementary PTA has funded over $95,000 in programs, equipment, classroom support and events. Some of these include Accelerated Reader, Math Facts in a Flash, PAW Printers, Science/STEM Fair, Junior Achievement, Chrome books, recess carts and rugs for the classrooms, Reading Olympics, teacher reimbursement, teacher appreciation day as well as fun events such as Monster Mash, Winter Festival, Movie Night and Family Game Night. These programs and events could not exist without PTA fundraising.
What fundraisers can I expect this year?
The PTA would prefer not to ask our students and families to sell products such as wrapping paper and candies. We try to think of fundraising ideas that are community based and bring families together. Many of our fundraisers have been spirit nights held at local restaurants.
Our big fundraiser this year is the silent auction. We are very excited to host this social event that will offer many exciting items to bid on from local businesses as well as unique items and baskets put together by each classroom.
