A BIG THANK YOU, upcoming events, and how you can volunteer.

With the help of many people, movie night was a huge success. Thank you to the CES Staff who volunteered: Mr. Bailey, Mrs. Power, Mr. Gadson, Ms. Ferre, Ms. White, Ms. Lee, and Mrs. Gummeringer. Thank you to John Juppe and his team of WatchDOGS, and A special thanks goes out to Irene Easter who helped with some last minute must haves and also handled the bike raffle!  The students really enjoyed seeing the administration and some of their teachers in attendance, Mrs. Lawhorn, Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Herring, Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Ester, and Mrs. Loiselle.

Movie night would not have been possible if not for our wonderful sponsors! Family Bike Shop, Team Surlis of Remax, and Bay Country Floors we THANK YOU!

The Fall Scholastic Book Fair is in full swing this week! We are still in need of volunteers to help assist students during buying days (10/2-10/6), assist with family night (10/5), and then pack everything up at the conclusion (10/6). http://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040a4daaaa2aa57-fall2

Junior Achievement day is, Monday October 9. Students participate in the Junior Achievement (JA) program, teaching them about entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on instruction. JA is taught in each classroom by adult volunteers (e.g. parents, guardians, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.). This is a great opportunity to participate in your child’s education, to volunteer please click the following link. https://m.signupgenius.com/#!/showSignUp/4090f4ba8af28a4f49-junior1

Students grades K-5 have begun using the Accelerated Reader program.  We are in need of volunteers to help count up the number of Accelerated Reader (AR) quizzes each student completed and to put together a bag of rewards for each student.  The bag of rewards will be sorted by teacher.
3 volunteers are needed for each counting day.  Counting will take place on Thursdays at 9:30am.  If all three volunteer slots are filled it only takes 1 hour.  It’s not a big time commitment but it really is a huge help!  Please sign up for 1 or as many time slots as you can.  https://m.signupgenius.com/#!/showSignUp/20f094baead2aa02-accelerated

Parent volunteers play a big part in making sure school events are successful and fun for the kids. Thank you in advance…your time and effort are greatly appreciated.
