THE GREAT PUMPKIN CONTEST!

The great pumpkin contest is back! Let’s get creative and carve, paint and/or decorate our pumpkins with this years theme “Out of this world”! There is a $5 entry fee to participate and content must be school appropriate. Pumpkins, entry fee and form (which will be sent home with students this week and is also available below) need to be turned into the school on Friday Oct. 27th between 8:55-9:30 am. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be announced at Monster Mash!

FOOD DRIVE SPIRIT DAY 10/16/17

Monday 10/16/17 is “Sock it to Hunger” day.  Have your kids get wacky and wear their silly socks to school. Also, please continue to send in food donations items most needed are: peanut butter, rice, macaroni and cheese, tuna fish, canned vegetables, and cereal.

MONSTER MASH: BACK BY POLULAR DEMAND!

Monster Mash is Saturday, October 28th from 6pm-8pm. THIS EVENT ALMOST ALWAYS SELLS OUT SO GET YOUR TICKETS NOWhttps://ces-pta.ticketleap.com/monster-mash-2017/This year’s Monster Mash event will feature an all new “Haunted Hallways” walk-through display.  As always, we will have a DJ rocking the best in monster mash tunes, a craft table for all ages, our signature Monster Makeover, Halloween Candy Guessing giveaway, and multiple games, including a new game for 2017 Monster Bowling.  Our very own CES Fortune Teller will be here to answer all your questions about the future too. Make sure to come early and hungry as we will have Food, Snacks, Candy and Beverages for sale. Of course, children and adult chaperones are more than welcome to wear costumes (remember to keep the costumes appropriate for an elementary school function and in line with CES conduct guidelines).  CES PTA is looking forward to having a Ghoulish time with you and your special Monsters.

Happenings for Monday October 9, 2017

Junior Achievement: If you have signed up to volunteer for this wonderful program please check in at the front office and meet us in the Science lab between 9 and 9:15am .

Team up for hunger and wear your favorite team colors! Please continue to bring in donations for the food drive, most needed items are: Peanut butter, Macaroni and cheese, Canned vegetables, Rice, Tuna fish, and Cereal.

Interims will be sent home.

Thank you for making family dinner night a success!

Family dinner night was a great success and we want to thank our wonderful CES Staff and Administration who helped: Mrs. Lawhorn, Mrs. Davis, Mr. Bailey, Mrs. Loiselle, Ms. Dubina, Mrs. McCullough, Ms. Ferre, Ms. Lewis, Mrs. Gummeringer, Ms. Carruth, Mrs. Santiago, Mrs. Thompson, Mrs. Sweeney, Mrs. Klakring, Mrs. Williams, and Mrs. Shidle.

We also could not have managed such an event without our amazing team of WatchDOGS and Cub Scout pack 731 who came ready to help! We hope everyone enjoyed themselves and as always, the PTA thanks you for your support!

Walk with our float at Arundel High Schools homecoming parade.

Show your pride and come join us to walk beside our awesome float during Arundel High Schools annual homecoming parade. All CES students will have chosen a personal goal which will be displayed on the float that our WatchDOGS are working hard to create. The parade will take place at the Arundel High School and Middle School complex on Wednesday, October 11 at 6pm. Please arrive early to find parking and meet with the CES crew! All CES students are welcome to come as long as they are accompanied by their parent. Please wear all white or at least a white shirt as there will be a contest to see which school is showing the most school spirit!
